“My ego takes a hit”: John Krasinski voted sexiest man alive by “People” magazine

John Krasinski has won the title of People magazine’s 2024 Sexiest Man Alive. The actor spoke to the media after learning the news.

John Krasinski has been named People’s Sexiest Man Alive for 2024.

The ‘Jack Ryan’ star said he had an “immediate memory lapse” upon learning he had won the magazine’s title.

“I actually had an immediate blackout. No thoughts,” the 45-year-old actor told the publication when asked how he reacted to the news. “Except for the fact that I might be getting screwed. That’s not how I wake up, thinking “Is this the day I’m going to be asked to be the sexiest man alive?” And yet, this is the day you did it. You really raised the bar for me.”

John Krasinski, best known for his role as Jim Halpert on “The Office,” added that his wife, actress Emily Blunt, 41, was “very excited” when she learned he had won the prize. “It was with great joy that I told him the news,” he added.

John Krasinski and Emily Blunt have been married for 14 years and have two daughters Hazel, 10, and Violet, eight.

Last year’s winner was former “Grey’s Anatomy” star Patrick Dempsey. The 57-year-old actor admitted his age helped him earn the title, saying: “I’m happy it’s happening at this time in my life. It’s nice to be recognized, and my ego definitely takes a hit.”
