It was a little before 1 p.m. this Tuesday, November 12, when firefighters from Haute-Savoie made a macabre discovery in a house in the small town of Taninges. The lifeless bodies of two little boys (2 and 11 years old) and a 13-year-old girl were found.

The three young victims then had stab wounds. Autopsies and additional assessments will be carried out in the coming days to understand the causes of death.

Since this discovery, the mother of this blended family has been actively sought by investigators. Around sixty gendarmes and a helicopter were mobilized to find her, according to AFP. Aged 45, she was on the run in the surrounding mountains and left a letter according to information from Dauphiné Libéré. Still according to the regional daily, it was the father of the youngest child who raised the alarm.
