He was wanted for several murders including that which occurred on the night of November 11, 2024 in Lyon, in the Perrache district. French police have arrested a suspect who could be the one who killed a homeless man earlier this week on the street in Lyon, with cinder blocks.

The man, aged 32, was arrested this Tuesday, November 12 at Toulon station (Var) after having committed violence against a woman on a train coming from Marseille (Bouches-du-Rhône), say several media including The Parisian et Le Figaro. The latter would therefore have taken the train just after the murder of the homeless man from Lyon towards the south of France.

Suspect under OQTF

The suspect is under OQTF (obligation to leave French territory) and of Cameroonian nationality, according to the identity he gave. The thirty-year-old is the subject of an arrest warrant for attempted murder and murder, including abroad.

The Cameroonian was arrested by the police around 8 p.m. without a transport ticket and was placed in police custody.

Suspected of murders in Dijon, Strasbourg and Evry

The Lyon public prosecutor's office had opened an investigation for “assassination” at the beginning of the week, he told news Lyon.

Identity given to police this Tuesday would also be involved in three other murders committed in Évry (Essonne), Strasbourg (Bas-Rhin) and Dijon (Côte d'Or). The investigation continues with the interview of the suspect in Toulon.
