This Tuesday, November 12, 2024, Pascal Praud receiving Jordan Bardella on the set of L’heure des pros, on CNews. The president of the National Rally came to promote his book, What I'm looking for, published by Fayard editions.
And from the outset, the journalist wanted to put his foot down, asking Jordan Bardella for whom his book was written. To which, the number 1 of the party, responded “to the French”. But this answer did not really convince Pascal Praud. “I don't think so. I believe it is aimed at the system,” he wants to declare.
“You want, I saw you Saturday evening at Léa Salamé, that the system loves you”.
Pascal Praud pays Jordan Bardella
Surprised by such a response, Jordan Bardella asks his interviewer again: “That's to say ?”. “You want to please the system”answers Pascal Praud.
“But to whom?” asks the politician again.
“To the media system”insists the journalist. “If I don't do the launch at your place, on CNewsI necessarily address the system?”, asks Marine Le Pen’s right arm.
In reality, Pascal Praud says he is very shocked by the treatment of comedian Philippe Caverivière regarding Éric Ciotti, Jordan Bardella's political ally. And the latter did not flinch on the set of Quelle epoch! “He was attacked in a disgusting way on his physique. We allow ourselves with people on the right what we would not allow ourselves with people on the left. You didn't say anything (…) I found that there was a form of submission”, he blurted out live.
A very rare scene
Jordan Bardella is then very surprised by this spike:
“You can’t tell me, because a comedian made a joke about Eric Ciotti and I didn’t get up to leave the set, that I’m submitting to the system,” he says, specifying that the “we still have the right to make humor”.
The opportunity for Jordan Bardella to settle his scores:
“You are seriously mistaken. I also remember that during the presidential election you made political projections which did not come true. You praised Éric Zemmour and his way of doing politics. He made 7%.” The tone gradually rose on the CNews set. A fairly rare sequence.
