“The person who admitted the shooting is of Italian nationality and aged 19.” The public prosecutor of Marseille, Nicolas Bessone, provided an update, Tuesday, November 12, on the investigation linked to the shooting which cost the life in Ardèche, on Halloween evening, of a young rugby player aged 22 and who injured two other people. During this press conference, he delivered several elements on this affair linked to Marseille crime. “The motive could be a desire to extort the night establishment [devant lequel se trouvait la victime], he said while reminding that the investigation was still ongoing. But there is currently nothing to link these events to the DZ Mafia group.”
Suspects 19 and 23 arrested in Marseille and Cavaillon on November 4 both admitted the facts with which they are accused. The shooter, however, clarified that he “wanted to take no one’s life“and that he had only been recruited, on social networks, for”an act of intimidation“.
The Renault Scenic vehicle used by the two suspects was found charred in Valence and was stolen in Marseille on October 30.

Two men were arrested at the same time, one in Cavaillon and the other in the Marseille city, on November 4, a few days later. Their custody was to last until the end of last week. Since then, investigators have been trying to trace the perpetrators of this deadly shooting in the parking lot of a nightclub 200 kilometers from Marseille.
