French team: Nkunku and Hernandez preserved two days before the match against Israel

In a tight international week with a match against Israel on Thursday and a trip to Italy on Sunday, the Blues carried out their first collective training this Tuesday. On the Michel Platini field, there were 21 players, including the latest arrivals Kingsley Coman and Benjamin Pavard, who met Clairefontaine for lunch. Without forgetting Lucas Chevalier who took part in his first group session alongside Mike Maignan.

Only Christopher Nkunku and Théo Hernandez remained on the fringes of the group. The first ran when the second underwent treatment on a knee but their absence is only a simple precaution and they are expected on Wednesday for training before the match against Israel at the Stade de . The AC Milan full-back should also start since Lucas Digne is suspended.

For this first collective training session behind closed doors, the Blues, as is often the case, carried out a dynamic warm-up punctuated by a toro, before continuing with technical exercises under the direction of Didier Deschamps with ball lifts from the goalkeeper ending in front of the goal with an attacker. All while varying the running and playing patterns.

On Wednesday, the French group should be complete to return to a Stade France which they have not frequented since June 2023 and a victory against Greece (1-0, June 19). Before this new closed session during which DD will carry out a set-up which will allow us to know the starters for Thursday's meeting, the coach will be at a press conference at 4:15 p.m., accompanied by a player.
