CAN 2025 (Q): Bayo forfeits, a local player takes his place

Previously on the list of 23 players called up for the 5th and 6th days of the CAN 2025 qualifiers, Mohamed Bayo is finally out due to injury. An attacker playing in the national championship will take his place.

Guinea is preparing to compete in the 5th and 6th days of the Total Energies Maroc 2025 CAN qualifiers. On November 16, 2024, it faces DR Congo at the Alassane Ouattara Ebimpe Stadium in Ivory Coast from 7 p.m. GMT. Before flying to Dar es Salaam where they will face Tanzania on November 19, 2024 on the lawn of the Benjamin Mkapa National Stadium.

For these two crucial meetings, the national coach will not be able to count on Mohamed Bayo, announced forfeit due to injury by the Guinean Football Federation. Mohamed Saliou Bangoura (Aloba), Hafia FC striker, replaces him.

Housed in Group H of this qualifying campaign, Guinea is second with six (6) points. Tanzania occupies third place (4 points). Ethiopia closes the table with a single point while the DRC leads with nine (9) points.
