Pokus, Day 9: the fantastic journey of Dum_trip – News

Second victory of the festival for the member of the Stream Gang, during a Monday evening which smiled on the regulars. Come start the week in style with our replays.

The three-day weekend is over, but the party is just beginning on the Winamax Pokus. Okay, 187 tournaments have found takers, but the best is yet to come, notably with the conclusion of our four Flights. Moreover, while the Dragon Mystery at €20 and the Wizard Million KO at €50 have already pulverized their respective guaranteed prizes of 500,000 and one million euros, the Mystery Magus at €2 and the Fairy KO at €5 will follow this Tuesday. To get your hands on your share of the loot at a lower cost, you know what you have to do. But before getting there, a quick look in the rearview mirror is necessary, especially given the pedigrees of the latest winners.

We don't stop anymore Adrien Dumont ! Winner of Event #47 on the second evening of our festival, passed very close to the double on Sunday evening on the Gryphon 5-max, Gunther Feit (from his old nickname Dum_trip), returned to the fight with a vengeance, riding the €10 Pegasus until crossing the finish line in the lead, for almost €5,400. We will of course detail this resounding double for you a little further down. Note that the biggest bonus of this tournament fell into the pocket of PACKAGE6969only 203rd, but wearing a mystery crown at €3,237. He thus pockets more than the fourth, wmx-1fxvs7pf.

Another well-known nickname in the honor of an evening which distributed €753,512, that of Neruth 667who we now know under his real name thanks to his recent fourth place in the WPO Bratislava, Valentin Emperor. Winner of a Main Event and three Winamax Series titles, he deprived moktavarium of what would have been a resounding hat-trick by defeating him heads-up in the €50 Crystal Ball. Again, scroll down a bit for more info.

Be water (15ᵉ), Boris “lebordelaii” Berthomet (14ᵉ), a Davidi Others more than ever in Pokus Hunter mode (11ᵉ) or even Matthieu Choffardet (5ᵉ): there were some nice people around the last tables of the Alchemist, but on arrival the title went to a complete stranger (whom we suspect of having changed his nickname shortly before our festival): avital13 made a thunderous entry into the clan of logo holders with the biggest gain of the session, amounting to €15,627.

Pour Bennylor16 conversely, it is a return to the foreground. His coronation on the Cerberus Trident KO comes… eight years after his last Winamax Series title. For his part, _Donk1Max_ won at this time of year when our online festival was called Circus. It was in 2019, and five years later, a badge decorated with a “P” will accompany his nickname thanks to his great victory at €11,687 on the Pegagus Monster Stack €50.

Very good dum_trip

When a player is successful at an online tournament festival, it shows. Like our Streamer Dum_trip who, under the nickname Gunther Feitonce again had a good run in the final of the Pegasus 7-Max €10, which he started in 3rd position on the chip count… but which he took control from the 3rd hand thanks to a full double-up . His victim, Kash19gives up shortly after on a nasty bad beat (7ᵉ, hand #10). You have to wait for hand #29 so that FailAgain lose everything on a setup (6ᵉ), before Elpheno132 (5ᵉ, #36) does not fall against wmx-1fxvs7pf… who himself jumps in the next hand on a 3-bet shove which goes badly against Gunther Feit (4ᵉ). Well ahead in chips for the 3-handed, Adrien Dumont then strives to put pressure on his last two opponents, and ends up scalping F.Fanon on a coinflip (3ᵉ, #49). The start of a seemingly unbalanced heads-up, with 99 BB at dum_trip and 13 at _8 Horizons…who will nevertheless fight like hell and regain his health after two double-ups (#61 and 63). Unfortunately, his aggressive game fell on a bone with Gunther Feit, who therefore concluded this duel with a second Pokus title, while _8 Horizons consoled himself with €3,750, he who had never won more than €67 in tournaments on Winamax, at least under this nickname.

Event #183 : PEGASUS – 7 Max – MYSTERY Rebuys 10 € – 2,977 entries – prize pool €52,137
Winner: Gunther Feit – €5,372 (bounties included)

In good shape

When we talk about players in good shape… Two days after his supernatural double on these Pokus, we found in the final of Event #179 a certain moktavariumbut also Neruth 667one of the most bankable nicknames in our recaps. The latter takes care of breaking BlocdePierrewho only had one blind left (7ᵉ, #3), then won a fatal coinflip to 51 (6ᵉ, #14), before Bin Weng do not surrender in two stages (5ᵉ, #31 and 32). moktavarium then takes care of the case Ederzito9 (4ᵉ, #37), then that ofAnashkin Afell very shortstack following hand #50 during the 3-handed phase (3ᵉ, #60). Enough to kick off a promising heads-up between the two big names of this TF… a duel which will however come to an end: Rayane decides not to believe Neruth from hand #64, a bad inspiration which ends at the tournament. After cashing €8,630 on Saturday, the grinder leaves this time with €7,243, while the champion banked one of his biggest winnings with us, €11,394, having already won a Series badge in September.

Event #179 : CRYSTAL BALL – 6 Max – KO 50 € – 2,025 entries – prize pool €91,125
Winner: Neruth 667 – €11,394 (bounties included)

Professor Dumbledore

A few days before the outcome of these Winamax Pokus, two lands of enchantment particularly caught our attention this Monday evening. If you want to witness a victory as quick as it is surprising, take a look at the final of Event 178, which Flofolle closed in just 58 hands even though he only had 13 blinds when he started the TF. And if you prefer to see what it's like to come back from hell to achieve your best performance at our tables, click on the Event 193 replayer to attend a magic lesson with the teacher Kaarisx8. Good viewing!

Leaderboard: the battle rages

Coming within a whisker of a resounding double on Sunday evening, Gunther Feit obviously needed twenty-four more hours to afford it and jump five places in the rankings. For their part, MAntonio21 et Couscous1 continent to pull the wool over their heads as they have known how to do so well for several days. Runner-up of the Achimist this Monday evening, MMPZDF202330 takes the third step of the podium. Third the day before, Jad Chirac loses a little of its magic and falls to 5th place, just in front of a ShowMe2Money which goes down one floor. Finally, at the end of two beautiful respective deep runs, Fat Deposit et Marc-Louis14 make their respective entry into this top 10 in 9th and 8th places, just behind a 53InMyVeins which also includes him after his 3rd place on the Magic Time KO this Monday evening.
