The Minister of the Interior, Bruno Retailleau, will attend the France/Israel football match on Thursday, November 14 at the Stade de France from the security headquarters, his entourage confirms on Tuesday, November 12. The Paris police chief, Laurent Nuñez, will also be present alongside the minister at the security headquarters to follow events throughout the meeting.
Around 4,000 police officers and gendarmes, as well as 1,600 security agents, will be mobilized for this high-tension meeting, where Emmanuel Macron and Michel Barnier are expected.
A little earlier Tuesday, LFI deputies requested the cancellation of this meeting citing a risk of “very strong disorder”. The Israeli authorities also called on supporters on Sunday not to go to the Stade de France on Thursday.
