A new road tragedy caused mourning this Monday, November 11.
At the start of the afternoon several vehicles collided on departmental road 28 between Sainte-Euphémie and the industrial zone of Reyrieux.
A vehicle coming from Reyrieux, for an undetermined reason, veered off course before violently colliding with two others coming across the road. The driver was seriously injured as a result of the shock.

A 54 year old man
Firefighters from the Trévoux and Jassans-Riottier barracks as well as the gendarmes from the Trévoux company intervened and performed resuscitation procedures on the injured man, a 54-year-old man, residing in Sainte-Euphémie, soon relayed by the Smur team from Villefranche-sur-Saône (Rhône) but the death was noted on site.
Mr. Geniquet, first deputy of Sainte-Euphémie, went to the site as well as the departmental road services to clean the road once the rescue operations were completed.
Two other people were injured in relative emergency and taken to hospital. The gendarmes carried out the usual observations and regulated traffic.
