Last night Victor Wembanyama put everyone in agreement against the Kings. Victory for Spurs and best match of the season for the French giant, just to put the church (and its very high bell tower) back in the center of the village).
Victor Wembanyama has probably heard the criticism that has been coming at him in recent weeks.
Lack of impact, too many 3-point shots, basically.
Remarks and/or criticisms are raining down on Victor Wembanyama at the start of the season but this evening, there will be no criticism. Knowing how to tell when things are not going well, yes, but knowing how to recognize when everything is going well, too. Because it was an absolutely full match that Victor Wembanyama offered this night to the audience at the Frost Center.
34 points.
13/22 shooting.
6/12 you parking.
2/2 on throws.
14 rebounds.
6 passes.
3 blocks.
Huge match from Victor Wembanyama against the Kings, one of the best of his season. Nothing forced, present on the rebound, in defense, just in his choices. pic.twitter.com/r9cHvNK6Bd

In defense, including a huge counter at the start of the match on Domantas Sabonis and a multitude of caused U-turns, then in attack, obviously, but this evening without any forcing or play against the grain. Lots of 3-point shots attempted, again, but a good part on trailer finishes with shots taken in rhythm and that any human would have taken, 2m24 or not 2m24. A good presence on the rebound, too, because this match Victor spent a good part of it in the racket, which shows that, sometimes, logic also wins.
In a match where Devin Vassell and Chris Paul were very good, where Stephon Castle once again showed that he could be the future sheriff of the city and where the mascot Sandro Mamukelashvili scored three shots from distance, he apparently couldn’t -nothing will happen to Spurs, like the impression that when Victor Wembanyama goes… everything goes, a maxim to watch out for in the coming weeks on the Spurs side.
A prestigious victory in the end for San Antonio with, we repeat for the latecomers, the best match of the season for Wemby. And quite frankly, live, well it was very cool to see.
WHAT A GAME FOR @wemby!
