Several students from the Dojo du Couserans were traveling to Foix to participate in the first regional ju-jitsu fighting test match organized by the Dojo Fuxéen.
This preparation meeting allowed fighters from the region to meet first in the morning to participate in mass training based on percussion techniques, projections and ground controls. It was led by the regional technical manager Cyril Juffroy, accompanied by two high-level athletes: Audrey Bascans, ex-international, and Estelle Gaspard, current world champion in the discipline. The fighters were able to benefit from the wise advice of the experts to produce efficient and effective ju-jitsu during the next sporting events.
In the afternoon, the competitors engaged in quality opposition. The fighters from the Dojo du Couserans distinguished themselves by their technical skill and their combativeness. In the youngest category, Ilan Roques finished second, Taco Emmanuel fourth; in male cadet Damien Cazaux finished first and Estéban Léal third. In the cadet category, Romane Cazaux finished first.
This first stage constitutes the start of the championship. The second stage is scheduled for the beginning of December: the competitors will meet to try to win the regional title in Narbonne and qualification for the final phase of the French championship. The fighters from the Dojo du Couserans are seriously preparing for the next events, with the firm intention of achieving as many results as possible during this new season. The club leaders congratulate all the participants for their results and thank the Dojo Fuxéen for the quality of the welcome and the organization.
