The Barcarès Christmas village was ravaged by a fire last night, causing significant damage in the area near the Lydia. If the flames ravaged seven chalets as well as three caissons used to support the structures, i.e. 3000m2 of surface area, the firefighters made it possible to save the rest of the installations and the Lydia boat.

The intervention mobilized a total of 61 firefighters as well as the chain of command, who worked hard to control the flames: »Thanks to their commitment, the fire was contained at 7:00 a.m., limiting the spread of damage, and the famous boat the Lydia was one of the objectives by the teams on site.
