The next American president has thus clinched victory in seven key states, winning 312 electoral votes, compared to 226 for Kamala Harris.
In 2020, President Joe Biden narrowly won the state against Donald Trump, winning the vote in Maricopa County by a margin of 50 percentage points to 48. On Saturday evening, Donald Trump led against Kamala Harris 52 to 47 .
With his landslide victory in the presidential election, the American billionaire achieved a comeback that seemed unimaginable to some, after the violent storming of the Capitol by his supporters when he refused to acknowledge his defeat in 2020.
