Fspoiled by an equalizer in added time (1-1) on Thursday in the Europa League in Riga, Latvia, Anderlecht consoled itself by winning 0-5 on the Cercle Bruges pitch on Sunday afternoon. A hat-trick from Dolberg, a goal from Leoni and another from Vazquez made it happen.

After this match on the 14th day of the Jupiler Pro League, and before the international break, Anderlecht moved back to 4th place with 23 points. Le Cercle, without Denkey left to negotiate a future transfer, remained with a record of 7 points out of 9 in the league. He maintains his 14th place with 15 points.

Worried by Magnée (9th) and especially Agyekum (15th), who alerted Coosemans, Anderlecht was very effective from its first offensive action. Stroeykens threw Edozie on the left who offered Dolberg a caviar (0-1, 18th).

The Circle resumed the offensive. A cross from Ravych (25th), a header from Somers (28th), a shot from Minda (31st) and an overflow from Magnée (32nd) challenged the Anderlecht rearguard. The people of Bruges felt the need to breathe in the third quarter of an hour.

Anderlecht’s second acceleration ended, via Edozie, on the post (44th). On the momentum, the RSCA was more offensive after the restart. But it was the Circle that almost took advantage of it. On the other hand, Felip Augusto missed the target alone against Coosemans (51st). On a cross from Dreyer, Kakou touched the ball with his hand and the VAR signaled the penalty confirmed by Klass Clerckx, the replacement in charge of the match for Wesli De Cremer injured in the warm-up. Dolberg scored his double (62nd, 0-2).

The Circle lost its last illusions when Leoni, barely getting into the game, placed a subtle volley (0-3, 72nd). Dolberg then completed his hat-trick (0-4, 78th). After the exclusion of Diakite (82nd), Vasquez (90th) fixed the final bill.
