“I saw the flames go through the ventilation duct”
“I was in my bed, I had the window open. I heard young people running away. I thought they were squatting, then I heard like the sound of furniture falling, I thought it was the neighbor. Then I hear running. I got up and saw the flames passing through the ventilation duct, the VMC had melted. The bathroom window exploded,” traces Laura Jeanne, 24 years old, a resident of the Saint-Sauveur district. With her children aged three and six and her brother, she goes straight out. “I was in pajamas, barefoot, my three-year-old child came out in a diaper. » Helped by her neighbors « en or », she immediately informed the Flers fire brigade. An online prize pool
The family was able to be relocated with relatives. “If I hadn’t been awake, I think we would have been intoxicated. This is not the first scooter to burn, there was one not very long ago in front of the Flash association, right next door. » However, if the clothes for her children were able to be saved, Laura Jeanne no longer has any for herself. Her mattress is also broken, and she does not know when she will be able to return home.
In 2017, she launched a call for donations for her uncle and aunt, Cédric and Krystel Touzart, who were victims of a fire in Saint-André-de-Messei, causing a wave of generosity. Today, she is the one who finds herself in this situation. She is calling for clothing donations and an online fundraiser has been published.
