the essential
The weekend of November 16 and 17 will once again see the PSNO (Pôle sport nature orientation), organize several races, two of which count for the Challenge trails 47 season 2024-2025.
From Saturday evening, get your headlamps on! The particularity of the Saint-Pierre-de-Clairac trail is, indeed, that it includes a night race. Saturday, November 16 at 7 p.m., the runners will line up to cover a distance of approximately 14 kilometers (370 meters of elevation gain). This event counts towards the Challenge trails 47 short. The next day at 9:45 a.m., the long trail runners will be gathered at the starting line: 26 kilometers (700 meters D+). A 13 kilometer event is again scheduled with a start at 9:30 a.m. but which does not count for Challenge Trails 47. The courses are the same as last year which were very appreciated by all the participants.
Possibility of doubling the trails
Each year several runners take part in the night race and meet the next day at the start of the 26 kilometer course. A ranking over all of the two events called Challenge is rewarded by the organizers. The trails of Saint-Pierre-de-Clairac are real nature races, taking numerous forest trails or grassy trails and leaving only the bare portion on asphalt. Last year, 380 athletes gathered in Saint-Pierre-de-Clairac for a weekend always marked by an excellent atmosphere thanks to the involvement of numerous volunteers and the municipality.
