Cédric Chaillot was retried for 4 days by the Fort-de- Court of Appeal. He ultimately received 16 years of criminal imprisonment, instead of the 20 years imposed during his trial before the court. Cédric Chaillot saw his sentence reduced to 16 years of criminal imprisonment this Friday, November 8, 2024. During his first appearance at the assizes, the accused of the murder of July 26, 2019 in front of the former nightclub in the California area in Lamentin (Le Maximus), was sentenced to 20 years in prison.

This new verdict comes after 4 days of trial at the Court of Appeal, in the presence of families from both parties, including that of the victim, Daniel Duville, who died at the age of 26 around 4:30 a.m., the day of the tragedy.
