LThe police launched a call for witnesses on Saturday, at the request of the federal prosecutor, concerning the perpetrator of an attempted murder in Rotterdam, the Netherlands. After the incident, the suspect took a train towards Belgium and could therefore be in our country.
“On Tuesday November 5, 2024 around 4 a.m., an individual threw a concrete slab on the head of a homeless man who was sleeping at the Lievehaven Maritime Museum located in Rotterdam in the Netherlands,” explains the police. “The same day around 8 a.m., the suspect took a train at Breda station in the Netherlands heading to Belgium. This train stops at the following stations: Noorderkempen, Antwerp-Central, Antwerp-Berchem, Mechelen, Brussels Airport Zaventem, Brussels-North, Brussels-Central and Brussels-South.”
The suspect is between 30 and 40 years old, with dark skin and short-shaven hair. During the commission of the facts, he wore a black hooded jacket, dark denim pants and Asics brand sneakers with bright red or orange laces. He was also in possession of a large “Eco-bag” type shopping bag.
Anyone recognizing this individual or knowing his whereabouts is invited to contact investigators via the address [email protected] or the free number 0800 30 300. The police specify that the individual is potentially dangerous and ask witnesses who recognize him not to approach him and to contact the police.
