the essential
After the success of previous editions of Albi Sup', the Albigeois agglomeration community (C2A) associated with numerous partners is once again organizing the Albigeois Higher Studies Fair on Saturday November 16 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Exhibition center.
This free exhibition represents a golden opportunity for high school students, students and visitors in retraining to come and meet establishments and organizations in the Albigensian living area offering post-baccalaureate training. Please note that Albi is the leading city of less than 100,000 inhabitants for its higher education offering in Occitania.
“The higher education and research center of the Albigensian INU Champollion is simply exceptional for a so-called medium-sized urban area with around 6,500 students, or 10% of the population of the episcopal city, and 24 post-baccalaureate establishments. , underlined Roland Gilles, deputy vice-president at the C2A in charge of economic development, innovation, higher education and external financing.
Students are offered training in fields as varied as industry, technology, engineering, IT, digital technology, the environment and agriculture. We will not forget studies based on commerce, management, management and law but also human and social sciences, letters and languages, culture, tourism and communication.
Tailor-made training
In Albi, there really are privileged study conditions. “No sprawling university, insists Roland Gilles. No more anonymous campuses with endless transport lines. We favor training combining quality and tailor-made. Students have recognized technological platforms linked to the fabric of the local businesses. The city also offers high-level research and technology transfer structures providing access to cutting-edge equipment.
The success rate of students, 50% of whom are on scholarships, is higher than the national average. In the latest ranking of the ministry, INU Champollion ranks 1st and 2nd for the success rate in masters, for example. All of these assets, associated with innovative educational approaches and the desire to encourage active guidance, have facilitated the construction of an effective continuum of training between high school and higher education.
“The purpose of this fair, the fourth of its name and which is close to our hearts, is very clear. It is to ensure that the information on the training provided in the region can reach as many of our future students as possible, that they are high school or even college students, to tick the boxes of ParcoursSup.”
On November 16, conferences, workshops and a testimonial space will be offered to future students to obtain concrete answers about their future environment, namely higher education.
This Albi Sup' show should attract nearly 3,200 people and many high school students, giving them the opportunity to meet student ambassadors and thus benefit, prior to the validation of choices for ParcoursSup, from valuable advice capable of helping them in their orientation.
