Assassin's Creed Mirage welcomes a new update, what's new?

Assassin's Creed Mirage today welcomes a brand new update particularly awaited by some players. Be careful though, it is not intended for everyone.

Assassin's Creed Shadows will be at the heart of all attention in the coming months. Faced with the commercial disappointment of Star Wars Outlaws, Ubisoft is allowing more time to perfect its episode in Japan. It will clearly be the game of all hopes, he who will have to provide the impetus to put the French publisher back on the right track. The Montreal teams are in the kitchen, but until then Ubisoft will continue to monitor its other games. He is taking advantage of the arrival of the PS5 Pro to deploy a new update for Assassin's Creed Mirage.

Assassin's Creed Mirage PS5 patch is here

The patches keep coming and this is only the beginning. The PS5 Pro is now out, games by the dozen are making small updates allowing their games to be optimized so that they take full advantage of the new technical features of the console. Just yesterday, Baldur's Gate 3 refined its different modes (Quality and Fluidity), while FF7 Rebirth is already establishing itself as the technical showcase of the mid-gen machine. As promised, Ubisoft is also getting in on the action by deploying its PS5 Pro patch for Assassin's Creed Mirage. The latest episode will also take advantage of PSSR, Sony's in-house upscaling technology, to offer more faithful 4K graphics, coupled with the sacrosanct 60 FPS.

Ubisoft also seems to have placed particular emphasis on display distance, reflections and shadows. Here in detail the new features of Asassin's Creed Mirage reserved for those who were able to get their hands on the PS5 Pro:

  • 4K 60 fps thanks to PSRR and its sampling algorithm, offering more faithful 4K details at 60 fps
  • Quality Mode now defaults to 60 fps, compared to 30 fps for the classic PS5 version.
  • General improvement to the graphics of Assassin's Creed Mirage, with better fidelity of shadows and reflections, higher resolution textures and a general improvement in the draw distance (quality, details).

However, we will have to wait for the first comparisons to see what this Assassin's Creed Mirage PS5 Pro patch really has in store. Ubisoft has for the moment contented itself with sharing a brief video… on Twitter.
