“It’s a great and important step,” rejoiced Philippe Jost, head of the Notre-Dame de Paris construction site: this Friday, November 8, 2024, the eight bells of the cathedral rang out, reports theAFP. A first since the fire which ravaged the building in 2019.

Reopening in a month

A highly symbolic moment, as Notre-Dame de Paris is due to reopen to the public on Saturday December 7.
