The trial of the assassination of Samuel Paty
It’s a day that promises to be filled with sadness, pain, and emotions. This Friday, November 8, on the fifth day of the trial for the assassination of Samuel Paty, the special assize court of Paris must hear in the morning two forensic doctors who carried out the autopsy of the professor’s body.
Three municipal police officers, the first to intervene after the history and geography teacher was killed and while the terrorist had not yet been neutralized, must then give the story of this terrible day.
Finally, during the afternoon, members of Samuel Paty’s family will take the stand: his mother, his ex-partner, his two sisters and his nieces. The father of Samuel Paty, who “I had an accident” a few days ago according to his lawyer Me Le Roy, will not be able to be heard.
