A car garage located in Penchard (Seine-et-Marne) was seriously affected by a fire on the night of Tuesday November 5 to Wednesday November 6. Twenty-seven cars were burned. An investigation has been opened.
The loss is total for the company’s activity. A major fire occurred in a car garage in the town of Penchard (Seine-et-Marne) on the night of Tuesday 5 to Wednesday 6 November 2024, causing the destruction of 27 vehicles.
The manager described the incident as a “disaster”, reports Actu.fr in particular, noting the exterior part of the garage ravaged by flames.
The fire is said to have started around 2 a.m. Alerted by witnesses, around thirty firefighters were dispatched to the scene of the fire which they managed to contain two hours later.
An arson?
Having had a dispute with a customer six months previously, the boss is convinced that the fire started as a result of an act of vandalism.
Fortunately, according to Le Parisien, no one was injured during the fire.
