THE firefighters were called around 5:15 a.m. this Thursday, November 7, 2024 to intervene on a fire on rue des Peupliers, in Chauvé (Loire-Atlantique), near Pornic.

It was a newspaper carrier who alerted the emergency services, as well as to the manager of the car garage concerned, the garage Watched.

The spread of flames to a car garage

According to the Departmental fire and rescue service (SDIS), the fire started in “several light vehicles parked in the open” before spreading to this car garage, 150 m² of premises being threatened.

Nineteen firefighters mobilized

The accidental track

The flames spread to neighboring tires of the car and damaged the garage mezzanine as well as the offices.
