A preceding clash in April 2024
In April 2024, a violent fight broke out between Rennes and Toulouse supporters, a few hours before the kick-off of a match between the two teams, at Roazhon Park. A group of around fifty people attacked Toulouse supporters who were in front of a PMU bar on rue de Châtillon. Results: ten injured, one of whom was transported to hospital in relative urgency by the firefighters.
However, measures to regulate the arrival of Toulouse supporters had been taken in advance by the prefecture, including a ban on displaying themselves with the club's colors around the stadium, on the Mitterrand mall and in the center of Rennes.
