Schneider Electric entrusts its general management to Olivier Blum, a long-time executive. He succeeds Peter Herweck, who has been in office for a year and a half.
Schneider Electric's board of directors has appointed Olivier Blum as the company's chief executive officer, ending Peter Herweck's tenure due to differences over the strategic roadmap.
Olivier Blum is a veteran of Schneider Electric, where he joined the executive committee in 2014 to lead the energy management business. Prior to this appointment, he held several key positions, including director of strategy and sustainable development, as well as group director of human resources. He also oversaw operations in India for five years as president.
“I welcome our new Managing Director Olivier Blum and I would like to thank Peter Herweck for leading Schneider Electric over the past 18 months. For more than 30 years, Olivier Blum has been an exceptional leader who has participated in the transformation of Schneider Electric, with intimate knowledge of our company, its operating model and its culture,” said Jean-Pascal Tricoire, President of Schneider Electric. .
