The night was undoubtedly a little restless in the La Madeleine district of Le Mans. This Thursday, November 7, 2024, around 4 a.m., around ten firefighters intervened for a gas leak in rue du Moulin-l’Évêque, very close to the West cemetery.

According to the first elements transmitted by the Sarthe Fire and Rescue Service (Sdis 72), a small spray of fire was noted at a gas box overlooking the public highway. The network was cut off and the surrounding buildings were protected by emergency services using a fire hose.

The incident, which mobilized firefighters until 6 a.m., did not cause any casualties.
