A November embroidered with gold threads at the media library

Langeac. A November embroidered with gold thread. From Tuesday 5 to Saturday 16 November, the exhibition by Langeadois Yves Godayer in the exhibition room of the media library is to be discovered. Yves Godayer invites the visitor on a journey among various objects diverted with raw and recycled materials, such as wool and tar. He works in many directions and in various media. Hunting trophies, photographs from times gone by and old trinkets tell us stories tinged with melancholy, humor and strange poetry. Opening this Friday, November 8 from 5 to 7 p.m.

In November, the media library launches into embroidery through a series of original meetings and workshops called Novem'brode. In partnership with the Departmental Media Library, an introduction to digital embroidery is planned on the theme of self-portraits. Wednesday November 13 from 2 to 4 p.m. (on registration at 04.71.77.23.01 and from 12 years old).

Continuing her exhibition from November 19 to 30, Laurence Dequidt will host two embroidery workshops: Wednesday November 20 from 2:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m., from 6 years old, on the theme “Animal Totem”, and Saturday November 23 from 2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. on the theme “Fable” (from 6 years old in parent-child pairs or solo from 12 years old, upon registration).

Saturday November 23 at 2 p.m. (meet in front of the historial) free guided and commented tour of the Historial Mère Agnès with Aurore Jarry from the Pays d'art et d'histoire du Haut-Allier. The guide speaker will reveal the secrets of the fabulous collection of embroidered liturgical vestments. Saturday November 30 from 1 to 4 p.m., embroidery workshop on cards and bookmarks with Éveline Drégnaux (workshop from 12 years old and upon registration).

Without forgetting the signing meeting with the author and illustrator of travel notebooks Nicolas Jolivot Thursday November 14 from 10 to 12 hours. Nor the writing workshop open to all with Anne Grillon Saturday November 23 from 2 to 4 p.m.
