Who runs the world ? In football, not girls.
Arsenal announced several months ago that the women's team would play their Champions League match against Bayern at the Emirates Stadium on Wednesday December 18. Tickets have even been on sale for several weeks… but the meeting will ultimately be played elsewhere. The League Cup quarter-final between the Gunners at Crystal Palace was in fact scheduled for the same day.
No other date was likely to be suitable for Mikel Arteta's men, given the Premier League schedule, with Palace playing the Sunday before the match and the Saturday after. The London club indicates that it is in contact with UEFA to find a solution. One option could be to move the women's match to Meadow Park, where they regularly play in the championship, but the site does not meet all the criteria of the European body, as the BBC points out.
Come on, let's reverse the men's match so that Palace receives and we forget everything.
