Other practical information to organize your trip
How to get there?
Emirates offers one direct flight per day from Montreal. If you ever want to treat yourself to great luxury, the business break experience includes the services of a private driver from your home, access to the lounge before the flight, unlimited food and drink service in flight ( that includes Veuve Clicquot champagne), a leather seat that converts into a single bed, good night service with pajamas and Bulgari pencil case.
The flight lasts 13 hours and takes place during the day on the outward journey and at night on the return journey.
When to get there?
Summer is very hot and therefore, we avoid going there at this time when temperatures can rise up to 45 degrees. Fall, winter and spring remain the most pleasant to visit the destination.
Dubai is 8 hours ahead of Montreal, so it's the equivalent of traveling to Europe, more or less.
What do you need to know?
You can dress as you want, unless you are visiting a religious place. Tourists are everywhere and well received.
However, as we find ourselves in an Islamic state, some rules remain important to respect for living well together.
Shows of affection in public are prohibited and the consumption of alcohol is still very regulated, although accepted for tourists.
Among the vast selection of exceptional restaurants found in Dubai, including many Michelin-starred restaurants, some still do not serve alcohol, so it is better to find out before making a reservation.
However, the beach clubsbars and restaurants with wine cellars are numerous. You just need to organize yourself and plan accordingly.
Now the exotic journey is yours!
