New World: Aeternum Update 1.1.2 – News

Hello, adventurers!

Maintenance for New World: Aeternum update 1.1.2 will begin at 8 a.m. CST on November 6 and will last approximately 2 hours. Baalphazu was banished to darkness, marking the end of the Night’s Veil. This update will also include rendering changes as well as fixes for certain quests. Check out the full patch notes below.

World experience

  • Fixed an issue that caused players to receive more PvP experience than intended in the Cursed Mists zone.

  • Fixed an issue that prevented player progression in the Trial of the Shadow Scribe quest and faction rank advancement.

  • Fixed an issue where several repeatable expedition quests did not contribute to the “Repeated Assault” Season Journey task.

  • Fixed an issue that caused players to position themselves on certain objects when accessing menus while jumping.

Rendering

  • DX12 beta client on PC:

    • Added FSR native resolution TAA (Temporal Anti-Aliasing) mode

    • Added FSR sharpness control

    • Improved the stability of our DX12 rendering engine

  • FSR – Console/PC DX12 :

    • Improved visual quality of FSR resizing

    • Fixed rendering artifacts that could occur when resizing FSR

  • Fixed an issue where emissive materials were not warping correctly, causing an unintentional blue glow on several weapons.

  • Fixed an issue where some weapon effects would lose detail, particularly in intensive combat scenarios.

  • Fixed depth of field flickering in certain lighting conditions (most notable is during in-game cutscenes).

Important fixes

  • We identified and fixed a rare crash that could occur if a player’s client had a corrupt installation that caused some texture files to be invalid. In this case, we will instead render a basic white texture, allowing players to jump into the game. Players who see this white texture should validate their installation files afterwards to try to correct any previous installation issues .

  • Fixed an issue that prevented PC players from progressing if they had old wounds ready to be turned before the release of New World: Aeternum.

  • Fixed an issue that prevented the 3v3 Arena end-of-match UI from displaying.

Thank you for your support! See you soon in Aeternum.
