Bar-le-Duc. Rapper Zeden takes off with his second project Aéro

Zeden has a lot of ideas. After studies which did not fulfill him, he worked in the factory before giving up everything to make a living from his passion, writing and rap. With words that he has hidden in his room for a long time, he talks about life, his “banal life” as he likes to say, that of others who stick with the majority. From this work of introspection was born Nautilushis first project released in self-publishing on streaming platforms, on April 5, 2024. Nine titles including three interludes to reveal yourself, to move from the shadows to the light.

Six months later, “the feedback is very positive on social networks. It's a real pleasure, even if I expected it a little. If I release a sound, it’s because I like it and I know it will please,” confides the Barisian artist, delighted with the thousands of cumulative listens, without however getting excited. The eponymous clip has exceeded 21,000 views, “it reassured me to move forward, to keep the rhythm, that of an EP every six months”.

“I had to rewrite everything”

Something promised, something due. The second part of a trilogy that he is contemplating was published on October 18. Aero, that is its title. “More melodious, more varied, I talk more about myself, especially in Biopic where I talk about the transition from my adolescence to my adult life. In Notice I talk more about my political opinions, the differences, the fact that we are not all on an equal footing at birth.”

To work on his rhymes and mix them with the instrumentals, “instinctively”, Zeden imposed a sound per week. “I didn’t have many texts left, I had to rewrite everything.” This summer, he isolated himself for a fortnight with a friend, in the small village of Géry, to refine his project. The rapper Seizur at his side, “he was there to advise me and record me. He was the one who mixed and mastered the project.” You don't change a winning team.

The day before the release of his EP, he was on stage at the Metz Airport, opening for Belgian rapper Youssef Swatt's, recent winner of season 3 of Nouvelle École, on Netflix. “It was unprecedented, for me, to play in front of 250 people! » The next day, head to Le Temps Perdu to defend Nautilus et Aero in front of his family. “It stressed me out, but once on stage, I felt good. It’s cool to feel supported.”

Published on October 11, his second music video, Seen from the sky has already garnered more than 6,500 views. “We shot it at the beginning of September in Argelès-sur-Mer. It’s by Raphaël Rimbon, it’s more solar, more dynamic, more joyful.” Barely out of the abyss, we are now heading towards the horizon.
