: broken down and in the wrong direction on the highway

This Tuesday, November 5, around 10:15 a.m., a firefighter van registered in encountered a mechanical problem while traveling on the A36 motorway in the Mulhouse-Germany direction near Île-Napoléon. Following the breakage of the transmission shaft, the 18-tonne vehicle swerved and ended up going against the flow of traffic in the left lane.

Agents from the European Community of Alsace and police officers from Mulhouse went to the site to secure the repair. The operations required the closure of the central lane as well as the left lane, severely disrupting traffic. Traffic was restored around 11:30 a.m.

Riedisheim: a child injured by a car

It was around 1:15 p.m. this Tuesday, November 5, when a child, who had left the adults accompanying him, was injured by a car on rue de Mulhouse in Riedisheim. Driving at low speed, the vehicle ran over the boy's foot. Taken care of by firefighters, he was taken to the Mulhouse hospital center.

Saint-Louis: the author of an attempted burglary arrested

This Algerian, in an irregular situation on French territory, was seen by the occupant of an apartment picking the lock of the accommodation. The victim was able to give his description and the police found him in a garden located next to the building, rue Théo-Bachmann in Saint-Louis. He had several tools and a pair of gloves with him. Released, he was summoned to appear in court upon prior admission of guilt.

Saint-Louis: driving without a license

Saint-Louis police officers checked, early Monday, November 4, the driver of a Volkswagen vehicle who was traveling at high speed, not far from Place de la Gare in Saint-Louis. A driver whose license had been canceled due to lack of points and whose vehicle was not insured. The car was stopped and this 21-year-old Ludovician was summoned to the police station to explain himself shortly.

Masevaux: controlled cooking fire

The Masevaux gendarmes were called on Tuesday, November 5, at 11:40 a.m., rue Pasteur in Masevaux for a fire in the kitchen of a home. When they arrived, the fire had been brought under control by a neighbor using a fire extinguisher. No one was injured. The owner of the premises, aged 87, was taken care of by her son.
