This Sunday, June 9, 2024, the French are called to the polls to elect their representatives during the European elections. The new MEPs will serve for five years in the European Parliament.
198,700 people are registered on the electoral lists Nantes and can vote for this election.

Where to vote in Nantes?
In Nantes, the polling stations will be open Sunday June 9 from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. The place to vote is specified on the electoral map: name of the place, address, polling station number.
48 schools and a community center are mobilized in the city of the Dukes of Brittany to welcome the 207 polling stations required.
For residents of Nantes who have not received or lost their card, it is possible to find these
information via e-services or by calling Allonantes at 02 40 41 9000, Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m., Saturday from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., and exceptionally on polling day, from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Please note, in order to “balance the distribution of voters in each of the polling places, the City of Nantes has carried out an electoral redistribution”, indicated Nantes Métropole.
12,000 voters go like this change voting location during this election. To inform them of this change, the City sent a letter to everyone. A display is also planned at old polling places and mediators Will be present to guide voters.
Two additional MEPs
On September 13, 2023, MEPs approved the decision of the European Council to increase the number of seats from 705 to 720 for the next legislature. This decision was taken following Brexit. The seats available to the United Kingdom were distributed among the Member States.
Also, the new distribution of seats has been modified for twelve EU countries, in particular for the Francewhich will therefore be represented by two additional MEPs, for a total of 81 MEPs.
