“Israel is winning and we have no intention of apologizing,” former hostage Mia Shem speaks in New York
“I came here to speak to the greatest power in the world, to demand that the next president of the United States do everything possible to free the hostages”
Hostage survivor Mia Shem spoke today Tuesday at the “Shourat Hadin” conference in New York, aimed at combating anti-Semitism.
She said she was there “to cry out to the world and to the greatest power in the world, to demand that the next president to be elected in the United States do everything possible to free the hostages.”
FYI: the “Shourat Hadin” conference brought together 50 Jewish organizations, celebrities and pro-Israeli American opinion leaders, including conservative commentator Douglas Murray, comedian Michael Rapaport, law professor Alan Dershowitz.
Hostage survivor recalled: “I was kidnapped from Gaza not because of conflict over land or politics, I was kidnapped from Gaza by bloodthirsty armed terrorists with malicious intentions to harm innocent civilians. My friends who had come to celebrate their youth found themselves in the middle of hell and horror”.
Israel's consul in New York, Ophir Akunis, opened the conference by saying: “What was in the Middle East is not what will be. Israel will continue to act to protect its citizens on all fronts. From Tehran to Yemen, from Rafah to Beirut, to Samaria and Judea. Israel is winning and we have no intention of apologizing for it. We did not start this war or violate ceasefires, we are determined to restore security for our citizens.”
