20 employees on technical unemployment following a fire in a supermarket

The fire broke out in a supermarket in Labastide-Saint-Pierre (82) on the night of Monday, November 4. Firefighters quickly brought the flames under control but the 20 employees will not be able to return to work given the damage caused.

A fire broke out during the night of Monday to Tuesday November 5 in a supermarket located in Labastide-Saint-Pierre south of , in Tarn-et-Garonne. The alert was given shortly before 5 a.m. Despite the rapid intervention of firefighters to extinguish the flames, a lot of smoke was released and the damage was significant.

The twenty employees employed in this Super U will not be able to return to work this Tuesday morning. It seems that the electrical system of a refrigerator was the trigger of the disaster. 18 firefighters from Montauban and Corbarrieu intervened to put an end to it.
