Caussadais Sport Boules, chaired by Jean-Claude Lacombe, hosted, on Saturday, at the Caussade municipal bowling alley, a national doubles Lyonnaise boules grand prix in the second division for which sixteen teams were competing in the hope of scoring points. in the ranking in order to qualify for the final of the French championship. Players were present from the departments of Ain, Allier, Cantal, Charente-Maritime, Drôme, Haute-Garonne, Hérault, Isère, , Nièvre and Haute-Savoie. At the semi-final stage, the Boule Joyeuse de Parmilieu team and the Boule Longagienne team competed, as well as the Boule Joyeuse de Chantemerle team and the Entente bouliste Biterroise team. At the very end of the day, during a final that was undecided until its end, Stéphanie Gros and Loriane Barthet, from Boule Joyeuse de Parmilieu (Isère), won over Anne-Marie and Séverine Faure and Marie-Anne Dianin, of the Boule Joyeuse de Chantemerle (Drôme), with a narrow score of 9 to 8 after an intense game between points and high precision shots. After leading with a score of 8 to 5 then 8 to 6, the Chantemerloises gave in on the last lead announced at the end of the regulation time of an hour and a half of play by the referee Yves Martin, to the great joy of the Iséroises who however no longer seemed to believe it.
