Jargeau. The tree fair goes with the weather. The gray weather which accompanied the Tree Fair this weekend confirmed the idea that the season is favorable for planting.
The visitors were not mistaken, who left with their arms cluttered with shrubs or other plants, guided in their choices by the valuable advice of professionals. Numerous stands offered solutions for landscaping gardens and homes, and appealed to the appetites of the most gourmands.
Alsace was omnipresent
The Alsatian atmosphere was ensured during the day by the wandering of a folk group, and in the evening on Friday by the sauerkraut meal; then the dancing evening around theflammekueches on Saturday.
The awards ceremony greeted the exhibitors of this forty-sixth edition.
Plant quality prize, Chaillou rose garden, Doué-la-Fontaine; presentation prize, Paquereau establishments in Saint-Cyr-en-Val; price of floriculture and nurseries, Meillant establishments in La Châtre; entertainment prices, Pothelet-Margouillat de Champagne establishments.
Special mentions for its local and original products at the Haut-Pré de Tigy farm (oils, lentil flours, poppy seeds); for original products at the Pétrazoller clog factory in Alsace and Au Lutin des bois du Bas-Rhin. A special municipal mention was given to the Atelier du gâto, from Sandillonnaise Valentine Létang, for its gluten-free pastries.
