He returned, drunk, around 6 a.m., accompanied by two of his friends. Without his phone which he would have lost during his trip to the Breton capital. Back in his town, Ewan went to a private party at the town hall a few meters from the car park where he had left his vehicle, opposite the town hall. A spontaneous hunt this Monday afternoon

The young man will ultimately never join his friend. The last person to see him was ultimately the manager of a food truck who sold him a soda. His mother, worried about not hearing from him, even though he had promised to join her around 11 a.m., ended up contacting the authorities in the afternoon.

With several of his friends and members of his family, they searched the surrounding area until almost midnight that evening. This Monday afternoon, after the passage of a dog team, many residents gathered in front of the town hall, at the family's call, to find the trace of the young man. A drone with a thermal camera had also flown over the surrounding area.

As the mist limited visibility in the area, many residents feared that the young man had gotten lost while trying to return home, even though he lived nearly a kilometer from where he had parked his car. “We’re still waiting for good news”Khalil Bettal, the city's mayor, told us.

Finally, later in the evening, volunteers found the body of the young man, in a grove, at a place called Terseul, on the road to Saint-Gilles. “It’s the worst part of our job to break this type of news to a mother”laments the town councilor this Monday evening.

An investigation is underway. At this stage, no avenue is excluded.
