Present on site, Alain Lange, the mayor of the town explains: “It’s a little pipe who was affected. It leaves the general pipe and supplies the church. » Indeed, the work is currently in its second phase, around the building.

Gas cut off until tomorrow

“There was a tree there and the pipe was torn off at the same time as the roots,” continues the elected official. The gas was quickly cut off by GRDF, before the firefighters arrived on the scene.

“Currently the gas is cut off on the part of the church and the pipe will be changed tomorrow,” indicates Alain Lange. “Everything went well in terms of security. »

Six firefighters on site

Six firefighters from Flers were present on the scene, as well as the gendarmerie and the municipal police. The intervention ended at 5:45 p.m.
