Winner of on Saturday, AS Saint-Etienne regained color before the derby against OL. A meeting that the Saint-Etienne players are impatiently awaiting.

Unlike theOLl’AS Saint-Etienne will spend his week preparing for the event. Resting after their 2-0 success against Strasbourg at Geoffroy-Guichard, the Stéphanois will begin preparing for the derby in the coming hours, when their neighbors have a Europa League match in the meantime. The tension and pressure will therefore not increase at the same time for this derby, but in the ranks of the Greens, it is already in the minds. “This victory gives me confidence to go to , supports central defender Mickaël Nadétrained at the club. We are in good spirits. We are going to approach this match in the best possible way. I told them (the teammates) to prepare, because it's a match like no other. We're going to put them in the bath this week!”

Communion with the public on Saturday after the victory was also good preparation for those who still doubted the special character of these OL – ASSE. After two years of absence, the derby is back and for the Stéphanois, trained in Forez, this logically represents something. “The supporters have already motivated us a little, declared midfielder Louis Mouton. Personally, I've known a lot of them and playing my first professional derby, I hope, would be incredible. The whole team will give 500% if we can. It's an ultra-special match, a 100-point match. It's unimaginable, incredible to experience derbies like that.” Enemies on the pitch, Lyonnais and Stéphanois agree at least on this last point: nothing replaces a derby between OL and ASSE.
