For several days, rains have affected the region. Some 180 mm of cumulative water is expected at 12 p.m., almost a week after violent floods hit the Valencia region, costing the lives of at least 217 people. Several Internet users share videos of water in the streets on social networks.
Anger against the authorities rises
This new bad weather comes as the Valencia region is barely recovering from last week's floods and is still counting its deaths.
In recent days, anger towards the authorities has continued to grow. Residents deplore the slowness of relief operations. Sunday November 3, King Felipe VI and his wife, Queen Letizia, were attacked by the crowd in Paiporta, near Valencia.
Accompanied by Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez and regional president Carlos Mazón, they were the target of mud throwing and insults.
