Imran, 7 years old, found dead with his body partly frozen in : the father had been the subject of a complaint for violence against his children three months before the tragedy

The man, indicted for the murder of his little boy whose body covered in blows was found in September 2023 at the family home in , but also for attempted murder of his two little girls, was on trial this Thursday, October 24 2024 before the criminal court for a previous file. Beatings inflicted on his three children who had been denounced more than three months before Imran's tragic death.

The accused admitted to the beatings on the children

The case is not closed, no trial date has been set and it is not for this criminal procedure for which the father was to answer on October 24 but for the violence committed against Imran, his two sisters and his partner. and mother of the three little ones in June 2023. At that time, a complaint was immediately filed, investigations launched by the law enforcement services and medical certificates were established showing traces of blows on Imran's body. That is three months before the tragedy and as much time during which the child's life could perhaps have been spared. Not to mention that the family was also already under the radar of social services. Why was no action taken? The question has not yet been answered.

The father refused to be removed from the penitentiary center to appear at this hearing. He had nevertheless recognized the alleged acts against the children, as recalled by his lawyer Mr Gérald Brivet-Galaup who, conversely, pleaded for acquittal concerning the violence against his concubine. The court, however, found the defendant guilty of all charges and sentenced him to 18 months in prison. Without the judges ruling on the alteration of discernment which was retained by the psychiatric experts as part of the investigation into the death of the little boy and the mistreatment suffered by the little girls. Specialists concluding that “long-standing and entrenched schizophrenia.
