Torrential rains due to the effects of a cold drop hit Catalonia this Monday.
Catalonia is placed on orange alert and its coastline on red alert for heavy rain and risk of storms which could be accompanied by hail, the National Meteorological Agency (Aemet) announced on November 4.
On the north coast of Tarragona, a province where classes have been suspended and where it has been recommended to limit movement, up to 50 liters per square meter could accumulate in an hour and up to 150 liters per square meter in 12 hours. Significant quantities are also expected in the pre-coastal and southern coastal zone of the province.
