The team of France Ladies and Gentlemen has finished 7e to Padel World Championships 2024 in Qatar. A result which was not necessarily planned in the program. We are also interested in prize money to see if the players come out winners despite everything.
For two years, the FIP (International Federation of Padel) distributes 500 000 € to the 16 nations present in the tableau principaldivided equally between the Ladies and Gentlemen competitions. This distribution began in Dubai and logically continued in Qatar. Concretely, this means that 250 000 € are allocated for each category, which each includes 16 nations and generally 8 players and one captain (even if some nations sometimes come with fewer players or without a captain).
In closing 7ethe France won 32 500 € (i.e. €16,250 for each 7th place obtained by the Ladies and Gentlemen teams). With 16 players and 2 captains, this individually corresponds to €1,805.5 per person. It's rather a good operation when we know that, in a tournament FIP Starfor example, the winning pair hits 2 500 €either 1 250 € per player.
Note that the prize money is technically intended for federationswho then decide whether or not to redistribute it to the players.
