Audi drops prices of the A6 e-tron with two new versions – AVEM

Audi is launching two new versions of the A6 e-tron, a large tourer that it offers as a Sportback sedan and an Avant station wagon. A 100% electric car that stands out for its exceptional performance and autonomy. To appeal to a wider audience, the brand with the rings is lowering prices with these two new versions. With a lower capacity battery, the first rear-wheel drive becomes the new entry-level A6 e-tron. The second makes the Quattro all-wheel drive model more accessible. Audi has not communicated its prices for , but they are now displayed in Germany from 62,800 euros. The two new versions complete an already quite rich range, with varied but always impressive performances.

A new entry level

The new rear-wheel drive version becomes the entry-level Audi A6 e-tron. Instead of the 100 kWh one, it has an 83 kWh battery powering a 210 kW motor. The car’s range is reduced, but still remains very comfortable. In this configuration, Audi announces 627 km for the Sportback and 598 km for the Avant. The sedan in particular still benefits from its great aerodynamic qualities. In addition, it continues to benefit from its 800V architecture which allows it to have good recharging power. Thus, on an HPC station, the state of charge goes from 10 to 80% in just 21 minutes. Impressive performance made possible by intelligent and predictive thermal management.

A more accessible Quattro variant

The second new variant of the A6 e-tron makes the all-wheel drive Quattro versions more accessible. It still has a 100 kW battery, but it powers two motors delivering less power. They indeed offer a cumulative power of 315 kW, instead of 370 kW. Furthermore, these two motors on the rear and front axles provide 580 and 275 Nm of torque respectively. Enough to go from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.7 seconds and reach a self-limited maximum speed of 210 km/h. Taking advantage of the 800V architecture, the new Sportback variant can recover up to 290 km of autonomy in 10 minutes. On the other hand, the vehicle’s range can go up to 716 km for the Sportback and up to 685 km for the Avant.

Prices for new versions

If Audi has not yet announced the prices of its new versions for France, it has done so for Germany. In this country, the Audi A6 e-tron is now priced from 62,800 for the rear-wheel drive Sportback. Prices for the A6 e-tron Avant start at 64,450 euros. This represents an appreciable price drop for the entry level. Prices for the Sportback with the 100 kWh battery appear today in France from 77,170 euros. The Audi A6 e-tron Quattro also becomes more attractive. In Germany, prices for the Sportback version now start at 79,800 euros and those for the Avant at 81,450 euros. Today, the recommended price for the Sportback S6 e-tron Quattro stands at 105,020 euros. Those of the Avant S6 e-tron Quattro at €106,520.

A varied range to appeal to a wider audience

While making it more affordable, the two new versions complete the Audi A6 e-tron range. At its launch, it included two versions available as a Sportback sedan or an Avant station wagon. The first rear-wheel drive with a 270 kW motor and a 100 kWh battery. The second with four-wheel drive and two motors developing a combined power of 370 kW. With these two new, more accessible versions, Audi hopes to appeal to a wider audience. Its new flagship is still expensive, but it has many advantages. Even slightly behind, its performance and autonomy remain exceptional. Elegant and avant-garde, its sporty and well-proportioned exterior design also seems capable of attracting customers. This is especially true as the interior offers generous and comfortable space, as well as ease of daily use.
