Vladimir Putin (here with Donald Trump at the G20 in 2017) swears that he does not want to interfere in the presidential election between the billionaire and Kamala Harris.

PRESIDENTIAL – Russian interference less than a week before a decisive election for the United States and the whole world? This is what several American authorities strongly suspect after the broadcast of a video showing a man presenting himself as a Haitian who was able to vote several times in the election between Kamala Harris and Donald Trump in the state of Georgia.

Accusations brushed aside this Saturday, November 2 by the Russian embassy in the United States. “We have taken note of the statement by the American intelligence services accusing our country of broadcasting fabricated videos of electoral violations in the United States. We consider these allegations to be unfounded,” can we read in a press release broadcast on the Telegram network.

It was a joint statement from the FBI, ODNI (national intelligence) and CISA (the cybersecurity agency) that pushed Russia to react. In a text published Friday, these American institutions had lent to “Russian agents of influence” manufacturing “from scratch” of this video. “This activity by Russia is part of a broader effort by Moscow to raise unfounded questions about the integrity of the U.S. election and fuel divisions among Americans.”affirm these federal agencies.

Elon Musk does not remove X's video

The Georgia elections official repeatedly asked Elon Musk to have this video removed. We see a man in a vehicle saying in a monotone voice facing the camera: “ We are from Haiti. We arrived in America six months ago, and we already have American citizenship – we are voting for Kamala Harris”. He then claims that he voted – and so did his friends – in several counties in the state.

But the images, which lasted around twenty seconds in total, were still visible on the social network of the billionaire, Donald Trump's number one support in the race for the White House.

This is not the only case seen in the last days of an increasingly electric campaign. Last week, the same security services attributed to Russian agents a fake video that went viral allegedly showing the destruction of mail-in ballots for Republican candidate Donald Trump in the key state of Pennsylvania. “As President Vladimir Putin has reiterated, we respect the will of the American people. All insinuations about “Russian machinations” are malicious slander”the Russian embassy concluded this Saturday.
