In the columns of Het Nieuwsblad, Patrick Lefevere did not hesitate to take shots at the Red Bull-BORA-hansgrohe team and its manager Ralph Denk who tried to sign Remco Evenepoel.

Patrick Lefeverethe team manager Soudal Quick-Stepattacked the training Red Bull-BORA-hansgrohe and more precisely to his boss: Ralph Denk. In an interview given to The Newspaper, Lefevere expressed his dissatisfaction with the German team's methods and the rumors which circulated about a potential signing of Remco Evenepoel for the 2025 season. Indeed, Think would have approached, twice, the Wolfpack colt to attract him into its ranks.

“Do you know my friend Ralph Denk?” He has already done the same thing twice: he offers a contract with very high bonuses, which is not done for riders who are under contract. He had done it once four years ago and now again. Last week I heard he also visited Tom Pidcock. Know, I don't like him”explained Patrick Lefevere.

For his part, the team manager Soudal Quick-Step intends to keep Remco Evenepoel as long as possible. For several years, the Wolfpack is built around the Belgian leader with the arrivals in particular of Mikel Landa or, for 2025, Valentin Paret-Painter. “We know we can surround Remco even better, but it takes time. We are working on it »he added. “But you only have seven teammates (on the Tour de , in particular, editor’s note). This year, Casper Pedersen broke his collarbone during the third stage of the Tour. Louis Vervaeke falls ill after the first week. Then it gets tight…”
