Almost a week after the Mexican Grand Prix won by Carlos Sainz, Formula 1 is settling down on the Interlagos track, host of the 51st edition of the Brazilian Grand Prix. During this event, the drivers return to the sprint format with only one free practice session before tackling the sprint qualifications contested later in the day. More than 4km long, the circuit is made up of 15 turns and is distinguished by a steep drop giving the impression of a roller coaster for the drivers aboard the single-seaters. To shine at Interlagos, the twenty drivers will have to rely on a good level of aerodynamic downforce, without neglecting the crucial top speed for overtaking at turns 1 and 4. Beyond the chassis and aerodynamic settings, the teams will also have to ensure the cooling of their engine due to the 800m altitude, synonymous with less air on the circuit. During this race weekend, Max Verstappen should start from quite a distance, Red Bull has already indicated that it is forced to change engines, the Dutchman will therefore suffer a penalty of 10 places or more depending on the elements changed.
